Third Informal Baltic Regional Meeting took place in Estonia on 13-14 May 2008 with participation of representatives of service providers from Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russian Federation, Poland and NUAC project team.
NUAC seems to be the most advanced integration project in Europe, which leads to the creation of operational alliance of Swedish and Danish ANSP, to operate in NEFAB airspace.
The purpose of the meeting was to share the information about the recent developments in the region, including NEAP (North European FAB) and Baltic FAB (Poland and Lithuania) initiatives as well as the processes in the Russian State ATM Corporation.
The issue of Kaliningrad FIR was also discussed at the meeting. This is a particular issue for the Baltic FAB which involves the Lithuanian and Polish ANSPs (Oro Navigacija, Lithuania and PANSA, Poland).
PANSA was represented by Krzysztof Banaszek (President), Krzysztof Kalaman (Deputy Director, ACC & APP) and Tadeusz Grocholski (Deputy Director, Strategy).
Next meeting will be held in Gdansk in autumn 2008.
