On 20-21 September 2011 the Baltic FAB Strategic Committee holds its session in the city of Gdańsk.
The session of the Baltic Functional Airspace Block (Baltic FAB) Strategic Committee is co-chaired by Tadeusz Jarmuziewicz, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland and Rimvydas Va?takas, Vice Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania.
Additionally, the Polish side is represented by Krzysztof Banaszek, President of Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA), accompanied by Jerzy T. Lisowski, Jacek Wawrzeńczyk, Tymoteusz Gadomski from PANSA.
The Lithuanian delegation comprises representatives of the Lithuanian Ministry of Transport and Communications, Civil Aviation Administration and Oro Navigacija (Lithuanian air navigation services provider) and officials from the ministries of national defence and foreign affairs.
The session of the Baltic FAB Strategic Committee provides an ideal opportunity to share experience between representatives from relevant ministries, regulators as well as the civil and military airspace users.
PANSA and Oro Navigacija are intensively engaged in the activities aimed at efficient establishing of the Baltic FAB structure in pursuance of requirements imposed under the Single European Sky legislative package.
