In Bucharest about common works towards the future of ATM!

"We need to have full commitment and involvement of operational staff to create new technologies and implement them. (...) We also need to have full collaboration between operational stakeholders and industry to speed up deployment and to bridge between R&D and implementation", said Acting President of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency at panel "on overcoming the blame game–how can aviation stakeholders work together for accommodating future growth in air traffic and the capacity crunch?" during the ROMATSA and SESAR Deployment Manager event "SESAR, delivering the future of aviation together" in Bucharest. The constructive discussion was possible thanks to European Parliament, CANSO, INEA, Frankfurt Airport, European Defence Agency and Lufthansa.

Our activities are getting "greener" every day. We care about the environment! Only the appropriate air traffic management can ensure the correct mix of safety and environmental protection. Having in mind all aspects: the cruicial safety in the air and passengers' comfort as well as a noise and pollution reduction, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency takes all possible steps to provide possibilities to minimise the air ops' environmental impact. NAVIHUB project officialy launched!

On May 25th, during the celebration of 100th anniversary of the Aero Club of Poland in Poznań, The Polish initiative NAVIHUB was officialy launched! The project of The Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center and Politechnika Poznańska (Poznan University of Technology)is a unique platform gathering creative ideas, knowledge and experience in the airspace management.

BalticFAB present during an academic workshop on fragmentation in European air traffic

A two-day research workshop onf fragmentation took place in Budapest from 14-15 May to examine the positive and negative effects of fragmentation on air traffic management. Academics and stakeholders from all areas of the aviation industry gathered for a mutual exchange of ideas at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Numerous stakeholders of the aviation sector and aspiring academics from different European universities attended the research workshop on “Fragmentation in Air Traffic and its Impact on ATM Performance” organized by the Functional Airspace Block Europe Central (FABEC) and the Functional Airspace Block Central Europe (FAB CE) in partnership with the Florence School of Regulation (FSR) and the German Aviation Research Society (GARS).
